Pilgrim's Feast 2019 in Triacastela

The town of Triacastela will celebrate the next 20 July the first Festa do Peregrino, an event that will feature dramatized visits, halls or music.

The City Council organizes this event dedicated to the pilgrim, what is “so important in our history”, indicated the mayor, Olga Iglesias. This highlighted the role of the municipality on the Camino de Santiago, well it is “end of stage and it already appeared like this in the Calixtine Codex”. The Council wants to claim Triacastela as “a fundamental phyto” on the Jacobean route with this event, in which it seeks to involve the residents of the municipality.

The Festa do Peregrino will be celebrated on 20 July as it is the Saturday before Santiago's Day and has help from the Department of Culture and Tourism through the O teu Xacobeo program.
