Application to geolocate pilgrims and alert the authorities

The Civil Guard is the main public security force throughout the almost 1.000 kilometers of route of the French route of the Camino de Santiago.

The activation of that functionality (app Alertcops) allows, according to the armed institute, track a route, knowledge of the battery status and coverage of the mobile device, as well as a rapid and coordinated attention of the troops that are closest to the position.

The other novelty implemented consists of sending an informative message to those users of the application, with the telephone contact of the Civil Guard (he 062) accompanied by security advice for the pilgrim.
