ESTHER EIROS, APPOINTED AMBASSADOR OF THE WAY OF SANTIAGO IN SAMOS

On Thursday 24 of September in the City council of Samos, was named Dna. Esther Eiros, Director of the Gente Viajera program of Onda Cero Radio, as ambassador of the Camino de Santiago by the said council.

The project The Way to Snacks-My way of the association AXEL, aims to promote the different paths as it passes through Lugo and is part of the O teu Xacobeo program, of the Xunta de Galicia.

With the appointment of these people as ambassadors of the municipalities, the project aims to promote the Camino de Santiago as it passes through different territories, and also the natural heritage, cultural and gastronomic of the same.

Esther Eiros,

Galician living in Barcelona started in the sixties on Radio Miramar. He later collaborated with Radio Nacional, e en 1975 decided to pack up and leave for Paris as “freelance”. He also participated in the launch of Radio Minuto and directed on Radio Nacional de España “Parallel lights”. On Radiocadena Española, had the opportunity to make his first foray into a travel program with ” From here to there”, which would be the germ of the “Traveling people” of Wave Zero that directs at present.

Winner of numerous awards and distinctions, is part of the Spanish Tourism Council, is in possession of the Medal of Tourism of France and has received two Gold Antennas, o International Paradores Award, two Gold Microphones (2004 and 2006) and the Medal for Tourist Merit, among other awards.
