The only remaining Mammoth that has been found in the history of Galicia

Year 1961, place of Buxán, The Incio, Lugo. Workers in a quarry extracted limestone for a cement factory. As if it were a Hollywood script, suddenly the activity stopped. Something had been found in a clay-filled crevice., large bones were showing.

What might look like the bones of a large cow turned out to be the remains of a mammoth. This animal reigned during its long life in Europe, Asia, Africa and North America.
