One hundred members of the Association of Municipalities of the Camino de Santiago
The Association of Municipalities of the Camino de Santiago (AMCS) has broken the barrier of 100 partners.
Mansilla de las Mulas has become the latest addition to this group, who already has a hundred on his list, but it started in the year 2015 with barely 22 town halls.
It has been almost five years since the towns through which the Camino de Santiago Francés passed joined together in this corporation to be able to face, on the whole, to the challenges posed by European Cultural Itinerary for the present century.
The French Way It is the most representative of Antiquity, and this is demonstrated by its influx. That's why, the AMCS wants to convert it, even more if possible, in a world reference compared to the rest of the paths to the Santiago cathedral.
"It is a world heritage site" and "mother of all paths", confess from the association.
It is about the first European Itinerary and Asset of Cultural Interest, which guarantees that it is also the route that treasures the largest number of Jacobean vestiges of the national heritage, which is influenced by almost a thousand years of pilgrims walking, untiringly, towards your destination: the Galician capital.
