Samos eel

The world digital newspaper, stands out in its series “Gastronomy on the Caminos”, that on the long way to go, sheltered in its slippery wrapper, eel intersects with trout, tarpon and salmon with lampreys loaded on their backs, held with its prehistoric mouth, that in procession go up the river.

For four years, dragged by the gulf stream they are carried away until they reach the riverbed. A surprising metamorphosis transforms it into an elver and it begins again to go up rivers as it grows., arriving in the form of a developed eel, practically to the kitchen of the monasteries hidden between the forests and mountains of Galicia.
